Falcon SC70 and Norton 7500 Drop Plates
These drop plates are designed and can be used with a Falcon SC70 and the Norton 7500 Series Closers.
SC70/7500 SERIES CLOSERS
The series 7500 and SC70 door closers are designed to comply with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.) and ANSI
standard A117.1. All series 7500/7700 comply with ANSI A156.4 Grade 1 Specification. All Norton series 7500/7700 closers with
non-hold open arms are listed by Underwriters’ Laboratories for labeled fire doors. This includes compliance to UL10C and UBC-72 (1997)
for 3-hour assemblies. The product is manufactured in an ISO 9001 facility. These closers are also listed by the New York City Materials and
Equipment Acceptance Division.
Narrow Frame Back Plate (SC70/7500)
Optional 3/16” thick mounting plate available for all arm mountings.
Narrow frame back plate to be used for door mount pull side and top jam
push side mount (13-5/8” x 3-15/16”). Pull side mount requires rail of 1-7/8”,
top jamb mount requires minimum rail frame of 1-7/8”.
Narrow Top Rail Drop Plate (SC70/7500)
Narrow Top Rail Drop Plate to be used for parallel arm and heavy-duty arm
mounts (13-5/8” x 5-1/8”). Should be used on PA mounts with a minimum top
rail of 2-1/2”.
*** Drop Plates are to be used in situations where you either do not have enough room on the top rail of the door or the frame header. They allow you to follow the necessary templates to install the door closer properly.
